See You at the Pole, the global day of student prayer, began in 1990 as a grassroots movement with ten students praying at their school. Decades later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September. It is simply a prayer rally where students meet at the school flagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God. SYATP is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event. For more information, visit https://syatp.com/.

Thursday, September 29th – Grandparents Day We are so grateful to Callaway Christian Church for giving us a new home for the 2022-2023 school year! However, our change in location has necessitated some changes to our annual Grandparents Day activities. Grandparents Day will now be held on Thursday, September 29th only for all of our KCA families. We will have various activities starting with Breakfast at 8:30 am, and closing with the end of our extended lunch period at 1:15 pm. Please see the attached flyer for the full schedule.

REMINDERS

  • Please be sure to pay your student’s tuition if you have not done so already. You can view your current account activity, last month’s statement, and YTD statement in Gradelink by logging in with your Parent Login and clicking on the Billing Tab on the left side of the screen.
  • If you would like to order hot lunch by the day, be sure to turn the money into the office by 8:30am on Wednesday mornings.
  • Doors open at 7:30am. We have allowed students to come in early for the last two weeks, but starting Monday, August 29th, the doors will be locked until 7:30am.
  • Please note, there are no staff out in the parking lot during drop-off. Therefore, if your child must exit your vehicle on the left hand side, or if you are using a second lane on the left with other vehicles traveling to your right, please get out of your vehicle and escort your child to the building.
  • When picking up your child, please place your car tag in the windshield or side window of your vehicle.
  • If you arrive at school after 8am, a parent must come into the office to sign the student in.
  • If your child is sick, please remember to email the office and your child’s teacher by 9am.
  • Please let the office know before 3:45pm if your child will be picked up by someone other than you.
  • Each morning, Preschoolers will now be dropped off at the main entrance, not the fellowship hall entrance.

2021-2022 Yearbooks

We still have extra 2021-2022 yearbooks. If you would like one, grab one at the office. They are $17.

Scrip Program (Raise Right)

Our Scrip Program is now called Raise Right. Orders can be placed on the 2nd Thursday of every month starting in October.

STUCO THEME DAY

Welcome back to school! We are so glad to see many new, happy faces around here. Each month our Student Council hosts a Theme Day. These Theme Days are a fundraiser for Student Council. Unless otherwise specified, we ask for a $2 donation, and in exchange, the student can participate in the Theme for that day. Student Council uses these funds for various Student Council-hosted events at KCA and gives back to our community through avenues like providing socks to Our House shelter.

In September, we are partnering with Serve to help restock the Food Bank in Fulton. Instead of asking for the $2 donation in September, we ask students to bring nonperishable food items. We will collect these from September 7 through September 20. The class that collects the most items will receive a reward! But most importantly, the Food Bank will benefit greatly from your generosity.

In Christ,
Naomi Stephens

On August 25th, a group of KCA students, staff, parents and patrons gathered on the KCA property on Old Jefferson City Road to celebrate the groundbreaking for the new school building by lifting up prayers of praise and supplication to the Heavenly Father.  We are grateful to the representatives from the community who have long supported Kingdom Christian Academy and its mission of Christian education and who lifted  prayers that evening for our future.

Among those who offered prayers was a former KCA student, McKenzie Bacon, who graduated in 2021. She gave such a beautiful offering that I wanted to share it with everyone who might not have had the chance to hear it in person.

Groundbreaking prayer
This is new ground, ground for growth, love, and community. God’s given this school new ground because He wants to do something new in it, and He wants KCA to be a beacon of light and fresh water to let it grow. And God wants to do the same thing that we’re celebrating tonight, in every one of us. He wants to break new ground in our hearts and minds to allow us to grow. He wants to allow us to love Him through hard and difficult circumstances and bright and hopeful circumstances in order to grow us in both and break new ground in us, and KCA is a living and breathing example of this. Just like KCA is learning and growing and branching out and growing closer to Christ, so should we. When we do, heaven throws a big party for us, like we are for KCA tonight. Let’s pray.

Jesus, I thank you that you want to give us the opportunity for growing new ground, in our school, our families, and in us. Give KCA your strength as they not just break this new ground, but build on it. I thank you for Your kindness and goodness to us, and how you care about KCA, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Pax et Bonum,
Mary Safire
