Hello KCA Family,
A few months ago we announced we would be in need of some new board members due to a couple of people having to step off of the Board. We would like to thank Bobby Barker who has served the maximum number of years on the board. Bobby has served as board president for several years. We would like to thank Bobby for his leadership and willingness to serve God. We would also like to thank Angela Hernandez who has served the maximum number of years on the board. Angela has been a faithful servant and we are grateful for her impressive dedication to KCA. Both Bobby and Angela both have shown an incredible heart for KCA. God has brought forward two wonderful candidates, we would like to welcome Mike Huff and Patty Pipes as our newest members of the Board of directors. We look forward to how God will bless them and KCA as they serve Him.
As you now know Mary Safire has stepped aside as administrator. The Board of Directors would like to express immense gratitude to Mary Safire for her 18 years of wonderful service to KCA as teacher, board member, and administrator. Mary has made it clear through those 18 years that she has a love for the many students she has seen come and go through KCA. Mary has always been aligned with the Mission of KCA and all mighty things that God does through this little school. Mary has also helped us to find a new administrator.
Now we would like to introduce you to our new administrator Paula Fugaro. Mrs. Fugaro is a graduate of MIT with a B.Sc./M.Sc. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering as well as being a graduate of Heriot-Watt University with an M.B.A., she also has training in Secondary Education focused on Mathematics and Business. Mrs. Fugaro has also been a gymnastics coach, and is currently a Fitness instructor. After many years homeschooling her children, her family became involved with KCA when she and her husband Joe decided to send their children Cecilia, Antonio, and Victoria to KCA. Mrs. Fugaro has served as a Middle School and High School Math and Science Teacher for KCA. She has experience in classrooms ranging from Kindergarten through 12th grade. We believe Mrs. Fugaro brings a lot to KCA with her many experiences and we are excited for what God has done, is doing, and is about to do in KCA!
