See You at the Pole, the global day of student prayer, began in 1990 as a grassroots movement with ten students praying at their school. Decades later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September. It is simply a prayer rally where students meet at the school flagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God. SYATP is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event. For more information, visit https://syatp.com/.

Thursday, September 29th – Chapel & Grandparents Day

We are so grateful to Callaway Christian Church for giving us a new home for the 2022-2023 school year! Grandparents Day will now be held on Thursday, September 29th only for all of our KCA families. We will have various activities starting with Breakfast at 8:30 am, and closing with the end of our extended lunch period at 1:15 pm. Please see the attached flyer for the full schedule.

Please RSVP by calling the office at 573-642-2117.

Chapel Service will be held from 9:30am – 10:30am in the Sanctuary. Chapel will be led by Anthony Stephens from First Baptist Church and the 4th grade will open.

We have an exciting new fundraiser this year!

Are you a hunting enthusiast? Know any marksmanship aficionados? Then this oneś for you!

We will be raffling off a gun of the month each month in 2023. Hereś how it works:

  • You purchase a 2023 Gun Raffle Calendar for $100. Only 200 calendars will be sold!
  • On the second Tuesday of each month, your name will be entered in a drawing for the gun of the month. Remember, only 200 calendars will be sold!
  • Winning tickets will be re-entered into the raffle, so the same ticket can win more than once. You have a 1 in 200 (max) chance to win each month!

Saturday, November 5th – Holiday Gala

Welcome KCA Family and Friends,

I wanted to send out an informational letter about one of our Major fundraisers scheduled for Saturday, November 5th, 2022.

In years past, KCA has hosted an Annual Grandparents’ Gala. Last year, however in an effort to encourage more people to be involved, we renamed the event The Holiday Gala. It is the same event as in years past. However, we wanted to rename the Gala to encourage more families to attend and participate in the event. The Holiday Gala consists of an enjoyable dinner, a silent auction, and live Auction. It promises to be an evening of Fun and Fellowship. Next month, I will be sending out letters to families asking for “table captains”. What is a table captain? A table captain is a person who is in charge of a gala table that seats 8 to 10. The table captain is asked to decorate and provide table settings for those sitting at their table. Table captains will invite family and friends to join them at their table. Price per person is $20.00. For the event, we will be seeking donations for both the silent and live auction. In years past, the items have been supplied primarily by the grandparents. We certainly encourage the grandparents to continue to donate, but we welcome all donations from family and friends as well.

Each Class will be organizing a basket for the silent auction, so your child’s teacher will be reaching out to you for theme ideas as well as donations for the basket. If you would like to help with the Holiday Gala or have any questions feel free to reach out to me at elliesatticllc@att.net or 573-826-0286.

Thank you,
Stacy Miller
